Our goal for this library was to create a dynamic hub for learning, creativity, and community engagement. Previously, the space consisted of one underutilized storage room and one existing library with limited shelving and flexibility for supporting varied learning activities and collaborative needs. We decided to combine the two to create an open floor plan that facilitates independent reading and study, collaborative learning, class instruction and use of new technology.
